This week’s prayer requests

John 16:33 "In this Godless world you will continue to experience difficulties. But take heart! I've conquered the world." (The Message)

- Praise and thanksgiving to God for the blessing of seeing and hearing the Christmas story through our Kids Alive children last Sunday. Ask Him to continue to grow our children in the knowledge of Christ and to bless all those who help in that process.

- Ask God to show us the places where He is working in our lives and in the lives of others, as we move along the path toward the manger.

- Pray that family times are strengthened and blessed as children spend more time at home during their Christmas breaks. Ask for protection and times of warmth that give our souls both confidence and love. Pray for safe travels.

- Please pray that God will give us an awareness of those who may be struggling with loneliness during this season of the year, whether it be from the loss of a loved one, or other life circumstances. Ask that God will bring His joy flowing into these aching hearts.

- Lift up Mel VanderBie and his wife, Linda, as Mel moves forward toward another round of chemotherapy. Ask for encouragement for them both, resilience and stamina of his body to withstand the chemo and for no more cancer. Pray that God take away any fear or discouragement and ask for protection from any sickness in this cold and flu season.

- Pray for continued healing for all those who are suffering with illnesses or recovering from surgeries. That God will give them renewed energy and relief from pain.

Ps. 130:5,6 "I wait for the Lord; I wait and put my hope in his word. I wait for the Lord more than watchmen for the morning-more than watchmen for the morning."
